Ava Bulin is a two-time U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in Skating Skills and Solo Free Dance. She has also tested through Silver Ice Dance and Pre-Silver Singles and currently competes at the Intermediate level. For several seasons, Ava volunteered at OIC and SLFSC, where she developed her coaching skills while assisting other instructors. Her dedication and leadership led to her promotion to coach and instructor. Ava began skating at the age of six and has loved the sport ever since. She has seven years of competitive experience in both individual and synchronized skating and has performed in seven ice shows, featuring solos, group programs, and Theater on Ice numbers. Ava finds great joy in sharing her passion for both skating and agriculture. She strives to create a supportive, motivating environment where every skater, whether just beginning or progressing through higher levels, feels confident, encouraged, and capable. Outside of the rink, Ava works as a paramedic for Gold Cross Ambulance and Mount Calvary Ambulance. When she’s not working, she enjoys helping on her family’s farm or spending time with friends. Alexis is a USFS compliant Coach and Learn to Skate USA Instructor. Alexis has been coaching since 2001 and is a founding member of the Sheboygan Lakers Figure Skating Club, Theatrical Skating team and Synchronized Skating Program. Alexis is the SLFSC Learn to Skate Director and coaches Learn to Skate, synchronized skating, group theatrical skating and private lessons(Figure Skating and Hockey). Alexis has been skating for over 30 years and has competed in individual, theatrical and synchronized skating events across the U.S. She has passed Pre-Silver Skating Skills, Bronze Singles and Preliminary Dance. Julieann is a Learn to Skate Insructor.
Lilly is a U.S. Figure Skating quadruple gold medalist in Skating Skills, Dance, Solo Dance, and Solo Free Dance, and has also passed the Pre-Gold Free Skate test. She is currently training for her gold Free Skate test to achieve her fifth gold medal in the near future. Lilly has been skating since 2010 and coaching since 2022. With this experience, she brings both technical knowledge and passion to the ice. She loves helping skaters set goals, celebrate milestones, and grow in both skill and confidence. In addition to her skating achievements, Lilly holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which has helped shape her coaching philosophy of creating a positive and supportive environment where lessons are fun, encouraging, and motivating, while also emphasizing focus, hard work, and continuous learning.

Samantha is a Learn to Skate USA Instructor. She has passed Prelimary and Adult Silver Skating Skills, Pre-Preliminary Singles and Pre-Bronze Dances.
Kasey is a USFS compliant Coach and Learn to Skate USA Instructor. Kasey has been skating for more than 28 years and has been coaching for over 17 years. She is a founding member of the Sheboygan Lakers Figure Skating Club. Kasey coaches Learn to Skate, synchronized skating, and private lessons. In her personal skating career Kasey was a member of the Fond du Lac Blades as well as the Western Michigan University Synchronized Skating Teams. While on the Western Michigan Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team, the team achieved 2 national medals. Kasey has passed her Pre-Silver Skating, Pre-Bronze Singles, and Pre-Silver Dance Test. Outside of skating Kasey is married and has two daughters. Professionally she is a School Social Worker for the Sheboygan Area School District. Email Kasey
Valentina is a Learn to Skate USA Instructor and Private Lesson Coach. She has passed Gold Skating Skills, Pre-Bronze Singles and Pre-Silver Dances. Email Valentina
Allye Ritt is a U.S. Figure Skating 7-time Gold Medalist, International Dance Medalist, and Skate Canada Gold Dance Medalist. She has achieved Gold Medals in Senior Moves in the Field/ Skating Skills, Senior Free Skate/ Singles, Gold Dance, Senior Pairs, Senior Solo Free Dance, Gold Solo Dance, and Senior Free Dance through USFS. Allye skated for Disney on Ice 2014-2016 throughout parts of North America, Europe, and Africa. She now coaches full-time and is actively pursuing coaching education through the Professional Skaters Association. Allye is a PSA Master Rated coach in Moves in the Field/ Skating Skills and has also completed the Master Rating Sports Science and Medicine Exam, as well as the Hockey Skating Level 2 certification through the PSA. In her coaching career, she has coached skaters to USFS Gold Medals in four different disciplines. In addition to her skating background, Allye holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, German, and History and has eight years of middle/ high school teaching experience. She is also the author of the newly released juvenile fiction book series for skaters which includes, “Taking the Ice: Khalli’s Big Test” and "Taking the Ice 2: Skate Like No One's Watching" and "Taking the Ice 3: Ice Cold Summer." In addition to her involvement with the Sheboygan Lakers, she is the Figure Skating Director of the Ozaukee Ice Center. Outside of the rink, Allye enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeffrey and their cat Tatyr, cuddling up with a book, PicSkating, and the gym. Jeffrey and Allye also own Pure Gold Ice Werks and offer skate fittings and sales as well as professional figure skate sharpenings and personalized laser engraving. Email Allye
Maddi is one of our Free Skate and Skating Skills coaches. She has been skating since 1996 and joined synchronized skating in 2004. For her first 9 years she was a part of the Fond du Lac Blades where she became a 4 time Midwestern Champion, a 1 time National Bronze Medalist, and a 3 time National Champion in the Intermediate division. The following four years she spent skating with the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she became a 3 time Midwestern Pewter Medalist.Maddi has passed her Pre-Gold Skating Skills and plans to pass her Golds in the future. She has also passed her Pre-Bronze Free Skate. As a coach, Maddi is part of the Professional Skaters Association and has a Basic Accreditation rating. Maddi has been teaching Middle School Social Studies since 2016 and runs many clubs for her school including Dungeons and Dragons and Think Tank. Lastly, Maddi is on the World Wide Dragon Shooting Day board in which she helps this amazing non-profit put on events to help teach others about grief. Melissa is a USFS Five-Time Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field/Skating Skills, Solo Free Dance, Dance, Adult Freeskate, and Solo Dance. She has also tested through Bronze Freeskate and is preparing for her Pre-Silver Freeskate Test. In addition to solo skating, Melissa has seven years of experience competing in synchronized skating. While on the Fond du Lac Blades Intermediate Synchronized Skating Team, her team received a Silver Medal at Nationals. Melissa now coaches both Learn to Skate and individual lessons, and she holds the Registered Rating in Skating Skills/Moves in the Field through the PSA. Outside of skating, you’ll find Melissa spending time with her husband, Kevin, as well as family and friends. In addition to coaching, Melissa is a Financial Analyst at Nemak. Email Melissa

To coach on SLFSC club ice all coaches must provide proof of coaches insurance. Coaches over the age of 18 must meet the coaches requirements set by U.S.

Learn to Skate:
Coaches 18 and Over (that are not required to go through coaches registration)
Basic Skills Instructors Registration: This is available online through the Members Only site.
Coaches Under 18(Must be 16)
Basic Skills Membership: This is available through your Basic Skills program. There is a $18 fee, which covers the cost of a Basic Skills membership and a Basic Skills Instructors Manual.

Individuals interested in coaching? Learn to Skate coaches must be 16 years of age. To coach Learn to Skate you must have been an assistant prior to becoming an coach or coaches with previous experience should submit a skating resume and references to the SLFSC Board of Directors.
