SLFSC Board of Directors
SLFSC is a non-profit organization with no paid employees that is committed to serving its members with minimal financial impact. This requires a considerable donation of volunteer time and effort by the members in order for the Club to be effective. This is basis for the Volunteer Credit requirement.
Likewise, SBLA operates the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center to benefit its members and the community. To demonstrate unity of purpose and proper stewardship of the Ice Center, the Club should commit to investing time and effort in support of SBLA and its facility. This is the basis for the requirement for Home Club members to earn volunteer credits in support of SBLA. 1 credit = 1 hour.
SLFSC Members are required to volunteer a certain number of hour each season based on the chart below. Learn to Skate with U.S. Basic Skills members are not required to volunteer unless participating in the annual ice show, then 2 hours are required. However any one wishing to volunteer with SLFSC is welcome to do so.
Each member is required to completed 15 volunteer hours and 3 additional hours for each additional member in a family. Members may "buy out" volunteer hour at $25/hour prior to registration to $30/hour after registration. After the membership year any outstanding hours will be charged at $35/hour.
For more information on volunteering please contact SLFSC's Volunteer Chair- Julie Walker. Sign-ups available on Monday nights at registration table.
The Sheboygan Lakers Figure Skating Club (SLFSC) was established in 2008 by a group of dedicated parents, skaters, and coaches. At the 2009 USFS Governing Council held in Buffalo, New York, the Sheboygan Lakers Figure Skating Club was voted in to the U.S. Figure Skating Organization.
